Bulldog Strong Lager

Beer with Pedigree

The challenge of this project lies entirely in its most iconic element: the bulldog. In the crowded double malt beer market, where the focus is often placed solely on tradition or alcohol content, Bulldog chooses to speak a different language - one made of attitude, strength and loyalty.

The logo is a powerful yet essential lock-up, the sole protagonist of the entire brand identity.
The bulldog, depicted frontally with its proud gaze, perfectly embodies the values of the brand and the product:
Tenacity: Like the dog it takes its name from, this beer has a strong, decisive character that makes no compromises.
Authenticity: There are no references to the past, nor reassuring representations typical of brewing tradition. Instead, there is a modern icon - straightforward, because it looks you straight in the eye, creating an instant bond of complicity with the consumer.
"Strong Attitude": The English bulldog evokes the world of the pub and its authentic conviviality; its bold, uncompromising and slightly brazen treatment positions the brand far from ordinary traditional beers, drawing closer to those who seek a drinking experience with a strong personality.

The impactful colour palette:
Just like its icon, the colour palette draws inspiration from England, blending beige, dark green and black to create a striking lock-up and an architecture built around the bulldog illustration. Among the shelves of high-alcohol beers, these colours attract attention and, unlike competitors, remain highly visible and contrasted even in dimly lit environments.
The Bold Lettering:
The name "BULLDOG" uses a typography with proud, square and imposing characters. Its curvature perfectly frames the illustration of the dog, creating a unique and indivisible visual block.

Bulldog lived almost exclusively behind a bar counter, absent from supermarket shelves. Such a strong character, hidden away - much like a bulldog kept on a leash. The objective was clear: take Bulldog out of the pub and let it walk tall in mass retail too. Make it prouder, more contemporary, more iconic - not just on the front label, but on the back of the pack as well. Because a brand with this much character couldn't afford to have an anonymous B side either.
The design became strong and bold, with that irreverence that has always been part of the brand's DNA, but that for too long had remained unexpressed. The result is a packaging that doesn't ask for permission - it simply gets noticed.

The Result:
A strong, decisive visual identity that makes an impact at first glance. Bulldog is free again - and it shows.
